oVirt Workshop at NetApp HQ 2013
An oVirt Workshop is being held at the NetApp Campus, Sunnyvale, California, on January 22-24, 2013.
oVirt workshops focus on introducing the project, the technologies inside of the sub-projects, and holding technical breakouts for learning and hacking. oVirt Workshops are a community effort and are held at both industry events and the campuses of oVirt board member companies.

On January 22, 2013, the oVirt workshop is pleased to welcome two key members of the NetApp team, Patrick Rogers, VP Solutions & Integrators Group, and David Dale, Industry Evangelist & Director Industry Standards. Patrick will give an opening keynote presentation on the importance of open source software to NetApp, while David will address NetApp, the oVirt project and cross-company collaboration to produce strategic wins.

Thursday, January 24, 2013 - Hackfest Day
On hackfest day, we have three available spaces for Birds of a Feather sessions, practical tutorials and workshops, helpdesk-type sessions where people can have their questions answered, and whatever else attendees would like to talk about and do. This third day will be part conference, part "unconference" - attendees will get from the day what they put in.

Interested in Networking, OpenStack integration, VDSM or KVM? Propose a BOF for this hackspace and turn it into a working session. Hackspace slots are 90 minutes long.
Venue and Travel Information
Parking will be available on-site in NetApp's parking lot. Avoid any space that is marked as reserved. If you are unable to locate a parking space outside, you are welcome to try the parking garage adjacent to Building 7. The top floor is best for visitor parking, but you are welcome to use any space not marked as reserved in the garage.
NetApp's facilities are disabled accessible.
Should you have particular needs related to making your visit to NetApp's HQ, please contactfor assistance. We will do our very best to accommodate all dietary needs, etc.
For attendees who wish to book a hotel room, we have secured a room block at the nearby Country Inn and Suites at a room rate of 125 USD / night for a standard room and 145/night for a king suite, excluding tax and incidentals. To book into the hotel room block, please phone +1.408.747.0999. This room block will be listed at close of business on January 8th. If you require hotel accommodation please reserve before then. After this date, you may still request the rate, but we cannot guarantee room availability.
Mention the oVirt NetApp workshop when booking to receive a room at our specially negotiated rate. If you are having difficulties securing a room in our block, please contactfor assistance.
The hotel is a 5 minute drive from the workshop venue, and just over half a mile for those who'd like to walk.

Registration for this event is now open. Please register as soon as possible so we can get an accurate headcount for the workshop. Due to venue size, we must cap the maximum number of participants at 100.
Registration is free, and includes attendance for all sessions of the workshop, lunch and snacks on all days of the workshop.
Pre-registration is required, as on-site registration will not be possible.
oVirt Board meeting
The oVirt board meeting will be held on Thursday January 24th from 9am to 1pm in NetApp headquarters. An agenda for the meeting is in preparation, and will be sent to the Board mailing list before the workshop. For those who wish to participate, but who cannot travel to Sunnyvale, we are working on enabling remote attendance. Please contactto register interest in remote attendance.
Registrants will be expected to execute NetApp's visitors Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) upon entering the facilities. Should you wish to review a copy of the non-disclosure agreement in advance, please contact. The NDA does not cover the material of the oVirt workshop, as this information is already publicly available given oVirt is an open source software project.
