Feature pages are design documents that developers have created while collaborating on oVirt.

Most of them areoutdated, but provide historical design context.

They arenotuser documentation and should not be treated as such.

Documentation is available here.

The actual name of your feature page should look something like: “Your feature name”. Use natural language to name the pages.

Detailed Description

This feature will address the needs of applications and systems scaling out. When a certain resource usage goes over or below a certain user-defined limit, some an action would take place, which is typically starting and/or stopping a VM from a pool. Such conditions could be:

  • disk usage
  • free disk space
  • network usage
  • CPU usage

Benefit to oVirt

This feature allows oVirt to automatically scale applications based on their resource usage.
